Today, I joined a gym. I’m overweight and not very athletic, so I was nervous. I looked around and tried a treadmill. I start walking at a chill pace, then got ambitious and cranked it to a "light jog." Within seconds, I tripped, fell, and sent the emergency stop button flying across the room. The gym staff ran over and I swear someone said, “Well, at least he’s trying.” FML

I bet it laughed at you and told you to lay off the Krispy Kremes. There are some lies that just can't be tolerated, even by a treadmill.

Hmm my friend. Sounds like you have a dilema. But I know of a great way to lose weight fast! HAVE THAT DAMN BABY ALREADY AND GET A SPRAY TAN! ... Works in as little as 2 weeks!

I've seen fat girls do that in a crowded gym.

I've rarely seen fat people in the gym...I think there's a reason for that. (They usually quit after the new years resolution fades away in a week or two, but if they don't quit (so rare!), they get fit) @ OP...You're fat, and there's no use sugarcoating it cos you'd eat that too (LOL) I think this is sad tho, you don't deserve the fat jokes if you're actually using a treadmill (I hope you stick to a healthy eating and exercise routine). I do see why you'd lie to the machine if you don't want the person after you to see your real weight, but at the same time, I don't think most people would care.

Afraid the treadmill will make fun of you?

There's a reason it asks for your weight. It knew you were lying though.

until you can honest with yourself, good luck losing any weight.

who's gonna see it other than you? what's the point in the first place

At least you're getting on a treadmill to do something about it! Good for you!
