Today, I hit a car while trying to answer a phone call from my mom. I quickly answered the phone and shouted "What!?". To which she replied, "I just had a bad feeling in my gut about you so I wanted to make sure you were ok." FML

Today, while driving, I got a call on my cell phone. Trying to be safe and avoid an accident, I pulled into the nearest parking lot before answering. While I was turning in to park, someone rear-ended me. FML

Today, I was driving home and got a phone call from my mom. She called to tell me that there was a cop at the bottom of our hill, and to be careful. I got a ticket for talking on my cell phone while driving. FML

Today, I checked my inbox and realized I got an email from a potential employer, saying they were having trouble getting a hold of me by phone. They called while my mom was using my phone to look up directions to a place, and she answered, kindly hanging up when they asked for me. FML

Today, while on the road, my dad called twice before I pulled over and answered the phone. He first got mad at me for not answering, and then again later for "paying attention to my phone" while driving. FML

LOL. I don't know who to f the life of: you, your mom's or the guy you hit. But yeah. WHY DON'T PEOPLE USE HANDSFREE. -_-" In Hong Kong, everyone uses Handsfree because everyone knows it's really stupid and ignorant to pick up the phone while driving. Also, they don't think holding a phone while driving looks cool because they know it leads to accidents, so it's pretty dumb. So yeah. Get a handsfree (aka earphones for your phone) so all you gotta do is click. :D Taxi drivers in HK do that all the time and you don't see them crashing into randoms XD

I feel you. The same thing almost happened to me. But luckily I was able to dodge the car I was about to hit.. only my mom yelled at me for answering her so rudely. Hah, mothers. :P

I love how a high percentage of FMLs are people who hit other cars or got into an accident who are trying to make excuses (e.g., your mother) and not taking the blame for themselves. If you get into a car accident, and your car hit another car or an inanimate object, then it's your fault. Own up to it and stop trying to milk us for sympathy.

I've been in a couple near accidents due to people talking on their phones and not paying attention. It's a hazard to not just your safety, but others on the road too. How selfish of you. Imagine if you got in a horrible accident cause of that, and perhaps you ended up killing a child. Would that be the only way for you to realize how wrong it is of you to do that?
