If they are alcoholics, hiding their booze is a sure way to make it so much worse. Also, hiding booze for one day will not make them instantly better. My step mom is an alcoholic. Needless to say, she gets incredibly violent and ******* nuts if her booze is gone and she can't get more.

You have to be an idiot to assume hiding your alcoholic parents booze would turn out anyway but badly. Your parents would have to go through recovery and make life changes before you'd see any difference in their behavior. YDI
