You kno op u can go to different churches call 411 and ask for a list of churches (religious not the chicken place) there numbers and even helping hands can help u out wit those bill pays but u have to be there extra early on certain days at certain times....

Quite a fair amount of stoves still use gas, although their electric lighters wont work. Just use matches :)

Yup another dummy who can't read... It says he CAN'T pay them both, not that he didn't pay them.

What I seem to have gotten out of it is that they sent notices saying, "HEY. You better pay for your water or we'll turn it off! Also you'd better pay your electric bill or we'll cut it off!" and she has to choose which one to keep because she can only pay for one for the rest of the month. Is that not it? Because you seem to be very adamant about that not being it. I say she should keep the water as well. Electricity is not nearly as necessary.

You have to default on bills for a month in order for them to turn it off. And they would have been sending notices of the OP being late for a while, so they knew.

In the States, they just get the sheriff to move you out because the conditions are 'unsanitary for habitation.'

And then showers? Washing dishes? Clothes? Who says she has enough money to buy all of those water bottles anyway?
