Today, I found out that a co-worker of mine that I had originally hired, trained, and mentored to work in my department for the past 4 years had just got the promotion that I had applied for. He is now my boss. FML

That's a fuckload of shitcock. **** those guys. Sorry man.

I would rather a workplace hierachy based on merit than seniority.

lesson one: this is america, the better worker ends up on top (most of the time) lesson two: don't help people that work in the same career unless completely nessessary

Hey, youre probably on his good side.

OH MY GOD I HATE FML's LIKE THIS!! HE'S BETTER AT YOU THAN YOUR JOB. GET OVER IT. I KNOW IT MUST SUCK ASS BUT, SHUT UP! STEP UP TO THE PLATE AND THEN BECOME HIS BOSS.

Sorry for you, i know it hurts. But you know what to do next time: train and mentor less, that's all.

Heres an idea, Does he have a degree? Do you have a Degree? If he does and you dont, then go get one and then come on here and complain.

You just assume that the newer guy has a degree and OP doesn't? What if they both have degrees? What if OP has a degree and the other guy doesn't? What if neither have degrees?

#30: I've seen both supercede and supersede used in dictionaries.
