Today, I found out my best friend had 3 birthday parties for herself over the weekend. I wasn't invited to any of them. When I asked her why, she said I "didn't fit in" to any of the groups that were at the parties. All my other friends were invited. FML

Today, I'd planned a surprise party for my best friend's birthday. However, she apparently found out about it and told me at the last minute she couldn't make it, probably to avoid being the center of attention. I'd already invited all of our mutual friends, so I had to awkwardly cancel the party. FML

Today, a close friend told me she had no plans for her birthday. I found out she was lying when I had to serve her and 9 other mutual friends dinner at the restaurant I work at. I don't know what's worse, the fact that I wasn't invited or that none of them even remembered that I worked there. FML

She may be your best friend, but you are obviously not hers. Drop her as a "friend," find yourself a new friend or group of friends, none that were at any of the three parties, because they in some way also knew you weren't there either. Distance yourself from her immediately, she'll know why. And while you're at it, ask yourself why someone would throw themselves three parties. Your "friend" sounds needy in addition to being a jerk. Run.
