Today, I was shopping when I suddenly slipped on the wet floor and my basket and my groceries were flung everywhere. Moments later, one of the cleaners walked over holding a "wet floor" sign, saw me and laughed. FML

A bit late for that
Today, I slipped on the wet floor of a café, spilled coffee all over myself, and fell flat on my back. The barista ran over, not to help me, but to put up a bright yellow “Caution: Wet Floor” sign next to me while I was still laying there. FML

I slipped and fell in the food court at the mall a few weeks ago. There was absolutely no sign warming me about the slippery floor. Security guard asked me if I wanted to file a complaint but I said no and continued to eat lunch with my friends. For several minutes, I could still hear people laughing about what happened. Haha. One of the most embarrassing moments of my life. In your case OP, YDI. -_-

I Agee with #25. Just because there's a wet floor sign doesn't make it ironic, because you'd still expect that to be where someone would slip. Perhaps if you purposefully avoided the wet spot, only to slip on something completely unrelated, it'd be a bit ironic.
