Depends how long OP was out. I am presuming it was a great deal of time considering the fact she was fired, and it had to at least be 30+ min cause it sometimes can take 30 min

Honestly, if you were busted coming out of the toilet, and nobody knew you were actually asleep then that is an absurd reason to fire you. I doubt this was the cause of your termination, unless you outright told them you fell asleep... People may experience really bad cases of digestive distress at any time, taking too long in the toilet can be a result. Firing someone because they're crapping water/extremely constipated and took longer than an employer would like would be a total dick move.

Op you should go talk to your boss, as long as it's not a re occurring thing. just say you were not feeling well or something that justifies being in the bathroom for a while. You should not get punished for being sick

If you're not doing you're job, it's not unfair dismissal. I work in retail and we can be let go for not making numbers. If you're seen as holding the company back, you can be fired. I also think most of these 'And then I was suddenly fired!' FML's probably have more to them. Like maybe this OP is always a slow and lazy worker or something.

Uh you can get fired just because the boss felt like firing someone that day if you're an "at-will" employee. The only way to pritect yourself is if you're in a union. And even then, unions aren't protected anymore. This country's serious going off a cliff...

A lot of employment in the united states is at-will employment, especially entry level jobs. You can be fired at any time for an infraction. When I worked at a call center there were no sick days, and if you were absent or a few minutes late or early, you would get "points". Six points you're out, no questions. They'll have someone to replace you in no time.

You absolutely deserved that. I don't want to be a jerk about it but it's amazing to me the amount of people working hard to get jobs and then someone like you who has a job and goes and does something like that to mess it up. Sorry but that's just my opinion.

4, some people end up passing out from pushing too hard. If she did push too hard, it cuts off the circulation to the legs and lower back, leading to being passed out. To the original poster, if you're have a medical condition than it was illegal for your boss to fire you. However, if you work in an At Will state, such as CA, then your boss doesn't legally have to have a reason to fire you.

Yes please! I honestly did listen to their music to see what all the fuss was about. And it didn't appeal to my senses. Just another NSYNC to me haha

106- What is wrong with you?!?? How could you compare The Beatles to One Direction. That's a terrible insult to The Beatles. How about- They're like NSync or the Backstreet Boys. That's much more appropriate.

OP, if you are falling asleep places often, or generally tired throughout the day no matter how much sleep you get, you may want to consider getting a sleep study done. Sleep apnea isn't just for old fat men. If you have a sleep disorder and treat it, you might feel much better throughout the day and not sleep in random places without meaning to.

OP's username intrigues me. If it is in fact a reference to that crappy boy band. So, on one hand OP is an adult who still listens to boy bands and on the other it's a teenager with a desk job. I have no idea where I was going with that. Anyways, Maybe you should spend less time staying up late listening to boy bands and more time sleeping so you can keep your job OP.

I thought adults were mature enough to see the ignorance IN one direction, not say "oh hey, they're hot, I'm gonna go around calling myself a directioner." ....sorry....I got excited.....

Definitely agreeing with Kendall all the way here! If y'all are going to judge OP based on their music interest, then maybe you're the pathetic one here. Earth: It's sad to say that a lot of people go around labeling themselves as Directioners because of their looks; but I can assure you that there is a fair amount who don't. I love their music, and their good looks are just a bonus! ;)

You're entitled to your own opinion, but you don't need to put anyone else down because of it. Maybe the music carries a special meaning to her. I'm not saying I like 1D, but I hate when people say others' music is crappy when I highly doubt they've heard more than one song by them.
