Honestly, if you were busted coming out of the toilet, and nobody knew you were actually asleep then that is an absurd reason to fire you. I doubt this was the cause of your termination, unless you outright told them you fell asleep... People may experience really bad cases of digestive distress at any time, taking too long in the toilet can be a result. Firing someone because they're crapping water/extremely constipated and took longer than an employer would like would be a total dick move.

Op you should go talk to your boss, as long as it's not a re occurring thing. just say you were not feeling well or something that justifies being in the bathroom for a while. You should not get punished for being sick

If you're not doing you're job, it's not unfair dismissal. I work in retail and we can be let go for not making numbers. If you're seen as holding the company back, you can be fired. I also think most of these 'And then I was suddenly fired!' FML's probably have more to them. Like maybe this OP is always a slow and lazy worker or something.

Uh you can get fired just because the boss felt like firing someone that day if you're an "at-will" employee. The only way to pritect yourself is if you're in a union. And even then, unions aren't protected anymore. This country's serious going off a cliff...

A lot of employment in the united states is at-will employment, especially entry level jobs. You can be fired at any time for an infraction. When I worked at a call center there were no sick days, and if you were absent or a few minutes late or early, you would get "points". Six points you're out, no questions. They'll have someone to replace you in no time.

OP, if you are falling asleep places often, or generally tired throughout the day no matter how much sleep you get, you may want to consider getting a sleep study done. Sleep apnea isn't just for old fat men. If you have a sleep disorder and treat it, you might feel much better throughout the day and not sleep in random places without meaning to.
