Today, eight tornados hit the town where I live. The only person who tried to get a hold of me and see if I was OK was my World of Warcraft guild leader after I didn't show up to raid. FML

Perhaps your local friends and neighbors had more pressing duties to get to, like their own families and their own lives to sort out before they could get around to seeing that you were ok.

I think the thing is is that his family didn't check if he is ok.

I know the feeling of living through hell I live just south of Tuscaloosa and I remember all the tornadoes in 2011 I think there where like 500 the whole day maybe 250 it's been a while since I heard the number, but it was a lot.

as a fellow resident of indiana, i really hope you're okay

friends who raid together Stay together..lol

And people say internet friends aren't real friends.

Aw, while I'm sure it might upset you I think it's super cool of your guild leader to check on you. If I've learned anything from playing MMOs and being in a close-knit group it's they will usually care and worry about you. Especially the further away they are because there's little they can do except worry.

I take it there were no tornados in World of Warcraft. Maybe if you lived in the real world you would have real life friends. You know, the ones you visit and talk to. Now I must go and play a computer game...
