Today, before setting off on my train journey I checked my booking. The (non-refundable) return date was a week later than I intended, and after buying a new ticket online, I was informed that I would be able to collect it in 2 hours. I leave in an hour. I'll have to pay three times to come home. FML

I guess train journey's are a bad idea... Unless of course you're taking the midnight one going anywhere.

if you give the train attendant a little somethin' I'm sure you'll get on that train. They might even put you up front with the driver so you can 'blow the whistle'.

Don't blow the train driver while he's driving, never know what could happen

A singer in a smokey room
A smell of wine and cheap perfume
For a smile they can share the night
It goes on and on and on and on

I'm sure people do stuff like that often, it said non refundable not nonfixable, you should have just talked to a person that worked there and asked I'm sure they could fix it for a small fee (still less then buying another ticket)

Well, no offence but YDI for being so lax in attention to the details.
Seriously, the train operators (doesn't matter which one, they are all bastards) are notorious for screwing you over, living in the UK you should know this too and should have read the small print.... or even the large print in this case.
