Today, a girl told me she stopped eating cherries ever since her father choked on one when she was a kid. She later mentioned that she doesn't like to drive. I sarcastically asked, "Did your dad choke on a car too?" Nope, her two brothers died in a car accident. FML

Today, I got into my first car accident. Extremely upset, I called my parents, because it was their car and I didn't know what to do. I told them what happened, and asked if they were on their way to where I was. My dad's response was, "Hell no, we're eating dinner." FML

Today, I was at a friend's house teasing her with a pickle. She hates them so I thought it would be funny to pretend to deep throat it. Her dad came in and startled me so bad, I inhaled it. She had to call 911 while he performed the Heimlich maneuver. I’m no longer welcome back. FML

Sometimes people have different reasons for not liking things weather it seems silly or not to you ,Its their decision on what they like or dont like . I can assume you were just trying to light-heartedly made a sarcastic joke OP as you didn't know-- but 1) if you didn't know this person well-- you shouldn't be so comfortable to joke about such things and 2) You already knew she is hurt about her dad choking on cherries-- so why even THINK to joke about her dad?? You need to have much more control and be more empathetic.. OP, you sound like a total asshole. :(

Honestly, chick sounds like a pussy. Everybody goes through horrible experiences, most of us get the hell over it. I wouldn't stop driving just because one of my friends died because he was racing someone else. I wouldn't stop riding dirt bikes because my dad was permanently brain damaged after being hit in the head with the front tire of his 400cc. I wouldn't ditch on my service members after seeing my comrades die on the field. ******* pussy...
