Today, my mother, who thinks I'm a virgin, called me while I was having sex with my boyfriend. I have to answer every time she calls or she freaks out. I ended the conversation quickly and hung up. Or so I thought. She listened in to the rest of our 20-minute lovemaking session, and I have some explaining to do. FML

My father called me 6-8x a day till recently, when I picked up and said “I’m balls-deep in my wife, what do you need?” Now he texts to see if i’m free or only calls during sane hours (like 3-5PM at latest, not 11 PM at night or 6:30 AM). Problem solved. The shock value is hilarious and you can’t put a price on making someone uncomfortable on purpose. Just answer like that and don’t look back. Gets the point through she doesn’t run your life. Otherwise, god help any of your partners because then YDI.

You're obviously old enough to be out of the house on your own, so presumably an adult, which means you should have had this conversation with her already, that you aren't her property any more.

The people in these comments are being kinda mean about this. I take it y'all haven't had overbearing parents? My parents are similar except they were so overbearing they ended up finding out I wasn't a virgin on their own. And when it came to not answering phone calls, I was yelled and made to feel hella guilty if I missed a call. We also don't know how old she is. She could very well be living with her parents who still have some control over her (even though they shouldn't if she's an adult). Anyway, that's rough OP, but like other's have said, now that she knows, you just gotta rip off the bandaid. I feel for ya.
