Today, I’m 5 months pregnant. I really wasn’t feeling my best, so I called in sick. My boss responded with how my “selfish time off requests” are messing with the company’s production, and it’s not the company’s fault a “dude splashed inside me.” She told me to come in or “my kid goes hungry.” FML

This is a lawsuit waiting to happen

Yeah, that's technically not legal. So, I'd suggest gathering evidence for a lawsuit while searching for another job.

Good thing your boss is female! She's just a bitch instead of a defendant.

One can be a bitch and a defendant. Or one can be an asshole and a defendant as well, if one is so inclined and of the manly persuasion.

I don't agree with how your boss handled it but I do understand the frustration. I had to deal with constant pregnancies in WFM and its not easy dealing with pregnant women. Now granted this was in the Middle East and the government would treat pregnant women as royalty which gave most of them a sense of entitlement

You should have some sick days by contract. Get a note from your doc.

Good advice; most docs are happy to write a note for a patient who is stressed at work. And the law prevents the bosses from messing with the patient at all. There are laws in place protecting this pregnant person, thank goodness, if people can't be decent.

go get a lawyer, and sue the company for sexual harassment.
