Today, I celebrated my fifteen-week anniversary. No, not a relationship anniversary. A migraine anniversary. It won't stop. FML

a fifteen week long migraine? please tell me you've seen a professional, cause that sounds like something definitely isn't right

Uh, I think it's more complicated than that. It sounds like you're talking about a regular headache. Migraine is much different.

Do you mean painful headaches or debilitating full-on migraines? Either way, I'd have seen a doctor/neurologist if it persisted for more than five days.

You might want to keep a food journal. Often migraines are triggered by foods or a hormone imbalance. I suggest eating clean and then re-introducing foods one at a time. You need to be clean for a few weeks first. You should feel results in a few days, however, if you have a lot of sugar in your diet you might feel kind of crappy for a couple days as it leaves your body.

Had weed been legalized in your state yet?

i think you might actually have a brain tumor. you need to see a doctor seriously.

You could get that special kind of earring that lately everyone is getting - they swear it stops the migraine. It's at least worth a try after so long time with constant pain and no doctor knowing how to fix it and no medicine that's working. Hope you get well soon.

IT'S NOT A TUMAH! Seriously though, see a neurologist. Please.

Now if they only made migraine medicine that actually worked....

My Mum had a severe migraine for 4 years straight before the doctors finally figured out what was wrong... :(

If you haven't tried it, there's a medication for stopping migraines called imitrex- it may be worth discussing trying it with your doctor. You can only take so many in a month, but if it stops he one you have going, you could switch to a preventive medication. You could also bring up Botox injections for migraines.

For Imitrex, you can only take 2/day, 2-3 days/week, for a total of 10 days/month. My prescription gives me 9 pills per month. And you can't take any other NSAID pain reliever (ibuprofen, naproxen, etc.) for 12-24 hours after you've taken it or any other medication in the triptan family. It's great for immediate relief, but it doesn't help with getting rid of a long-term migraine. It's better to be on a migraine preventative for that and only take Imitrex or other triptan when the pain spikes above a certain level. Source: Had a migraine for 6 months at 16, been on preventatives since.
