Today, I thought it would be funny to prank call my job on my day off. I star 69’ed the numbers and prank called my coworkers. However, when I got to my boss, he knew who I was, and threatened to report me to the police. I’d forgotten to star 69. Safe to say, I was fired on my day off. FML

pretty sad if the best thing you can think of to do with your day off is make calls to your job!

Any FMLs that have "I thought it would be funny" are usually an immediate YDI, but you also deserve it for mistaking star 67 for star 69. Star 69 is last-call return, and dials the last number that called you. You use star 67 if you want to hide your caller ID.

At least 9 times out of 10, a prank is not funny. Pranks are for kids and even at that age it is rarely funny.
