Today, in the middle of my divorce, I got paternity tests for both my sons. God must hate me. My eldest son, a criminal currently in prison who I utterly despise, is my biological son, whereas my youngest, who makes me proud every day to be his father, is not my biological son. FML

Fatherhood is much more than DNA - Did you not raise your son and instill in him the values you find so admirable? Surely, the time you've spent with him over the years as a family forged bonds resilient enough that despite genetic differences, you still love each other? You, of course, must realize that even though your wife was unfaithful, your son is entirely blameless in the circumstances of his own conception. He is your son in every way that matters, he is not the one that wronged you. Do not let this lead to you treating him poorly or as a "lesser". Continue to be proud that you're his father every day.
