Gunked up
Today, I cleaned my computer screen for the first time in ages. When I turned it on a few hours later, I spent an embarrassing amount of time trying to figure out why the brightness was suddenly so painfully high. FML

Collection
Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, I saw a spot on my computer screen. I tried to use my finger to rub it off. Then, I tried using my nail. Then I tried to windex it off. I continued scratching at it with my nail. A half hour and one scratched screen later, I realized the spot was part of the webpage I was looking at. FML
Today, I ruined my computer screen trying to kill a fly. FML
Today, I was fixing some photos for a client. I spent 20 minutes trying to Photoshop an unusual black dot out of a picture. Only then did I discover it was a black dot on my computer screen. FML
Today, I was trying to turn on my computer and couldn't. I spent twenty minutes trying to figure out what was wrong when I finally called my husband for help and made him leave work. He came in, looked at the wall, and plugged it back in. The look on his face said it all. FML
Today, I realized that I give the computer screen a thumbs up whenever I see something cool. I work on computers in front of people all day. FML
Today, I got home and noticed my kitchen light was on. I was annoyed because I'd definitely switched it off that morning. Then I noticed that I'd left the curtains open. The sun was shining directly through the window onto the wall. I'd spent five minutes investigating sunlight. FML
Today, I just spent 3 hours at work reading FML posts and giggling at my desk. For the blurred out posts, I was moving my desk chair back to read what they said while squinting. I just realized I can hover the mouse and it will be clear and not blurry anymore. Now I have a headache and got in trouble with my boss. FML
Today, I saw my reflection in the computer screen and I thought I looked quite nice. I tried to take a screenshot. FML
Today, I was messing around on my laptop by drawing on the screen with a marker pen. When it came time to clean it off, it wouldn't budge. Now I have a full beard and mustache etched permanently on my computer screen. FML
Today, I got angry at my computer, and instead of bashing my keyboard with my fists, I bashed my face on the keyboard. It REALLY hurt. FML
Feel like sharing it with the other FML users?

Based on your username, I have a feeling your keyboard is covered in a thick layer of dust except for the "P O R N H U B" keys.

Really, this doesn't seem very dramatic. Now you know the benefit of keeping it clean.

OPs name is perfectly acceptable. Is he/she not allowed to pet a cat/dog?

Perhaps OP was "painfully high" at the time as well.
DREWBERTMAN 2
And possibly under the affluence of a bit of incohol
KeyboardWarrior 10
I'm hoping that was a pun of some sort.

Thank you for sharing that with us, I always thought that brightness and cleanliness was just completely and utterly horrible.

pretty sure there's a button to fix that

No buttons! The magical wizard of magic and stuffs, that lives in and controls computers, has his ways.

Yes, and that is why OP cleaned it.

"Painfully high." It's your computer's way of staring you down for being so neglectful.

And you took an arrow to the knee. Let the thumbs down begin.
