Great parenting

Today, after a year of staying at home, I finally went out. I had a panic attack and couldn't breathe, so my mum decided to scream at me and slap me so I'd become "normal". FML
I agree, your life sucks 1 103

The pandemic has done a lot of weird things to a lot of us, especially those of us more prone to being shut-ins in the first place. I still see movies and TV, even from years ago, and see them at parties without masks, up close in a crowd, and think "what the hell is going on," for a second. I'm fine going outside staying away from people, as I walked my dog the whole lockdown, but it will probably be a long time before I feel comfortable again in a big crowd at a concert or super-busy store or restaurant without masks.

Sorry op, thats understandable on your part. Theres no such thing anymore of "normal"

I’d argue there never was, people just cared more to pretend it existed.
