Today, I overheard my mom talking to a friend on the phone. What caught my attention was when she said, "You ever look at your kid and just think... 'Fuck. Where'd I go wrong?'" FML

Why do you assume that she was talking about you? It's very possible that whoever she was talking to was complaining to her about their child and your mother was asking a question not making a statement? Maybe she thinks your a wonderful child because of how she raised you and has ideas of where her friend went wrong.

I've read all these comments and it looks as if everyone is assuming she's referring to OP. It could've been about the child of the person she was talking to, or even the set up of a joke.
