For better and for worse...
If he's not going to work, he'd better be a pretty awesome house-husband.
Why not just an average house-husband?
I wonder if everyone would be so hostile towards your average housewife.
are all husbands like this?! if so, I don't want to get married. lol
No, I've seen a few awesome stay at home dads but the vast majority I've seen are hard working family men. :). Just pick your future hubby right.
What's the problem? Sounds like you have a good job and in most couples only one works anyway. When you have children who's going to look after them if you both work full time? As long as he does the housework and has your dinner on the table when you get in it should never be an issue.
@49 Actually, both spouses generally work, unless they have young children (even then, many parents use daycare) or one spouse makes enough money to support the whole family. In my family, my mom has always been a stay-at-mom because she's unable to work.
I'd say nope but you might need a lawyer ;) unless he does the home maker duties then it's no different than a man working and a women being a home maker
Has he always been this lazy?
Leave him, OP. My boyfriend's brother is exactly like that. He lived off his inheritence for ten years and to this day does not have a steady job, choosing instead to mooch and manipulate soft hearted family members to make a living. IT WILL ONLY GET WORSE. Find a man with some worth.

Say yes, but that means he's gonna have to do the dishes, make the food, and do all the other household chores. That should set him right.
Well someone needs a change in mentality.
