Get up off your ass

Today, I got my third promotion at work in as many years. My husband congratulated me very briefly, before asking if this meant he no longer had to look for a job. FML

Say yes, but that means he's gonna have to do the dishes, make the food, and do all the other household chores. That should set him right.

Well someone needs a change in mentality.

Hopefully he was joking... Or you landed yourself a lazy gold digger.

You need to nip this in the bud quickly, or you will always be taking care of him and the house (doesn't seem to be the type who would interrupt game play for anything as mundane as house work). And God forbid after you have kids, you ever ask him to change a diaper. You're eventually going to resent him, and he's only going to feel more entitled.

Thank you, Dr. Phil, for the amazing advice.

No need to get snarky. Talking from 30 years of married life, which seems to be twice as long as you've been on this planet. It's a fact of life; she is going to resent him if he shows no initiative to get a job, and he's going start acting like his hands are painted on. At least I didn't scream "Dump him!"

How much is enough money? Another dollar...and he needs to add to the another dollar...he may postpone looking for a bit but that will change...

Just make him do all the house work. That'll be enough to keep him busy for the whole day.

El hombre lluega hasta donde la mujer quiere. OP if you don't speak up, his lazy ass is going to drag it along and continue looking for work and beggin God not to find one.

Tell him that if he doesn't look for a job, he can forget about blow- and hand- as well

No offense, but your husband sounds lazy if he asked that.
