Today, my father spent half an hour trying to convert my cat to Christianity. He has already done this with my other two cats. He's completely serious and thinks they are born-again Christians. FML

in the bible at Numbers 31:28, Revelation 16:3, and Leviticus 24:18 it talks about animals being 'souls' =P

I used to be under the same impression, though I guess it's still up for debate, since I've met Christians who hold both beliefs on the matter of animal souls.

Any "Christian" that tells you other wise has never read their book. They say that animals are for food and work. Which is incorrect. All creatures are equal since god is non existent.

It varies from person to person. My sister in law doesn't believe they have souls but I do. When you look into a dog's eyes, they can't NOT have souls. Besides, it wouldn't be heaven without our best friends!

I agree. I believe they have souls. Heaven is supposed to be a place of happiness and joy, right? Well if there weren't any animals I know I wouldn't be very happy. If there is a heaven and I get to it, my pets better damn be there or else I'm leaving.

How does one convert cats to Christianity? do they drink holy water instead of regular water? Seriously though, how does that work? I'm kind of intrigued. I'm glad your dad has strong faith, even if that is a tiny bit odd. To each their own though :)
