I'd have a serious talk with her and shift to a dietitian and a therapist if you think it's needed. for Cost purposes trainer can come later.
I think that you need to get her some help. It sounds (to me) like she has severe body image issues. Please…keep a VERY close eye on her.
I feel like this problem will fix itself. She's signing up for a rough evening, and this won't really work to lose weight anyways.
Yeah, I'd wait to start worrying until the next day. If she STILL thinks it's a good idea, well, therapy time--but odds are someone just told her something stupid and she's about to learn a valuable life lesson.
