Today, I got my first tattoo. When I showed my boyfriend, he asked where I got the design. I told him I saw it in a sketch book of his. He designed it for his last girlfriend, who got it in the same place. FML

Today, I got my first tattoo. I didn't realise that the font I chose uses a fancy capital L that can easily be mistaken for a capital F. It looks like I have "I'm A Good Fuck Charm" tattooed on my wrist. FML
Today, while sitting next to me, my boyfriend sent a text to one of his "friends" saying, "I'm thinking of you." FML
Today, my girlfriend bought me a new hockey jersey and donated my old one. My old one was signed. FML
Today, my friend and I were at the mall and saw a "Grow Your Own Boyfriend" toy. I remarked that I already had one of those, and she freaked out, very loudly and openly, about me "finally having a boyfriend". I had to embarrassingly explain I meant I had the toy... not an actual boyfriend. FML
Today, my girlfriend of 3 years left me for a guy whose favorite color is camouflage. FML
Today, I found out that my boyfriend of two years has a beautiful daughter. That's cool, except she's one year old. FML
Today, my 5-year-old son made a drawing of our living room, with the addition of an apparition, and the text, "I can see you. Daddy doesn't see you. Who are you?" FML
Today, while working as a massage therapist, a client had me work on a very specific knot in his shoulder. He also happened to have a very detailed, very realistic tattoo of the Crucifixion on his shoulder. I just spent 45 minutes violating Jesus. FML
Today, my extremely in-shape boyfriend told me he hasn't had a chance to work out lately. I jokingly poked him in the belly saying he's getting chunky and winked. He burst into tears. FML
Today, I opened up an English textbook to find someone else's dirty fingernails between the pages. FML

I'm sorry, but this is freaking hilarious!!! You should've thought to ask him about it first. I mean, it is his work. I have no artistic talent, but if I did, and someone took one of my drawings and used it as a tattoo without my permission, I'd be a little upset

Hey.... stars aren't always meaningless!!!! After ten years of careful thought I'm planning on getting three stars on the back of my neck (so they can be hidden by hair, if need be). The stars, for me, will stand for me and my kiddos.

I HAVE the nautical star thank you very much. My brother drowned last year while on a fishing trip. So don't go around pretending just because you think something is "lame" and has no meaning that is doesn't to the person. My cousin has six butterflies, and people think she is just being girly. The butterflies are for the children she lost, and she has finally decided to stop trying to have children. So see, even lame tattoos have meanings to people.

a lot of us in law enforcement have general tattoos to represent lost brothers and a few that represent some superstitions that some of us have, and I'm planning on getting one that represents a close friend I lost based on a nickname she gave me.

My fellow bikers tattoos also generally have meaning. People may think that my full sleeves and back work is just a decoration, but every piece in it means much more than the time taken to ink it on.

Wow, @All the slutty, atheists writing about virgins and Christians, grow the **** up. (SEE BET YOU DIDN'T LIKE THAT coming at you. So don't call all us virgins ignorant and prudish) Most of the people saying, "Tattoos are bad" might be doing it because they just think they are ugly or have never been around someone who got a tattoo for a REAL reason. Note: virgins don't hide in towers and fail to live our lives like the rest of the world. Christians who say we aren't supposed to have tattoos are doing it because, as I said in a higher comment, because of 1) puritanical values 2) Old testament: Leviticus 19:28: 28 " 'Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the LORD." Which while it says that in the bible people fail to look at the reasons behind it. 1) not to be pagan. 2) not to be vain. 3) not to hold the body above the spirit. If someone gets a cross tattoo and a bible verse on their arm does that mean they have sinned? Anyways, don't judge people who have tattoos just because you think it is wrong. We don't have to live our lives by your rules.
