Today, bouncing at a local bar. I I.D.'d a girl with a group of people. I told her that next time she used a fake I.D., she at least should get one with a picture that looked like her. She started crying and ran off. A guy told me that she had been in a car wreck, and had been badly disfigured. FML

Today, I got into an accident and my car was totaled. My friends then took me out to a bar for a drink to make me feel better. It appears that the police officer I'd spoken to had kept my I.D. by mistake and I couldn't get into the bar. FML

Today, I contacted a girl who dropped her ID at a club last night. I offer to drive 2 hours to return her ID to her. She is thrilled. When I arrive, she gives me a strange look, takes the ID, and runs back into her house. A two hour drive without even a thank you. FML

Today, I got shitfaced at a club. A cute girl I'd met earlier in the evening offered to drive me home in my car and spend the night with me. She crashed my car and did a runner before the cops showed up. They wouldn't believe my story. I now have a wrecked car and a DUI. FML

Today, I was relaxing alone at a bar when I was approached by the most gorgeous woman I've ever seen. She was too good to be true, so I asked, "Is this some kind of a prank?" She immediately turned around and left. She thought I was calling her ugly. I'll never see her again. FML

Today, a cute thirty-ish chick walked into the bar I work in. I asked her for her license to make her feel young. She didn't have her license on her and started yelling about how stupid it was to even ask, when she obviously was old enough to drink. She then got up and left. FML

Today, I saw a drunk guy hitting on a girl sitting alone at the bar. She insisted that her boyfriend was there, but he didn't relent. So I went over and put my arm around her and asked "Who's this guy?" He walked away, but then I felt a tap on my shoulder. It was her boyfriend. He broke my arm. FML

Just because she was in a car accident doesn't necessarily mean she is "on a lot of medicine"...it could have happened months ago. So she has every right to go to a bar and even if she was on medication why shouldn't she go out and have a good time with her friends in a bar?

Either way, OP was doing their job as a bouncer. You saying you'd let some girl into a bar who looks nothing like her I.D.? I don't know too much about the rules in other countries, but if OP was an Australian bouncer, then he's required to ask for I.D. if a person looks under 25, and the drinking age is 18. So by that logic regardless of country the girl OP carded must have looked young, leading him to believe a fake I.D. especially with a different looking photo. I feel sorry for the girl, but also for OP for getting caught in such an uncomfortable situation for doing his job. He may have been slightly callous or arrogant in how he said it, but he's a bouncer, not a shop assistant, he's allowed to be

#2: It's the OP's job to "judge people like that". If someone presents with an ID photo that looks nothing like them, the odds are higher that it's a fake than that the person was horribly disfigured in a car crash.

How on earth can people say he deserves it?! He works at a bar, do you know how many people he has to deal with that have fake IDs. The girl should have gotten a new ID if her face was that messed up.
