Today, I got broken up by someone I wasn't even sure I wanted to date in the first place. He also made me realize how little self-respect I have right before dumping me. This is the best thing to happen in my love life in years. FML

Learn to respect yourself before dating anyone else. You can't expect to have a loving and kind relationship without having the respect for yourself to know what you deserve and how to properly communicate those things and be happy. Relationships take work, care, respect, communication and love if you want anything to ever last or be meaningful. Start with yourself before trying to find someone who works with you.
