Today, my boyfriend told me he's been having doubts, but he still wants to stay with me. I asked him why he had been so nervous about us and he replied, "I don't know, just thinking about a future with you makes me feel nauseous". We've been together over 2 years now. FML
Today, in the same sentence, my boyfriend told me that he wanted to "spend the rest of his life with me," and "I want to break up with you because I can't face your family." FML
Today, my boyfriend and I were together for 10 months when he told me I’m the only person he’s ever been with who’s made him feel safe and able to be vulnerable and open up for the first time… and made him realise he has trauma to work through. He then dumped me on the spot so he could work through it. FML
Today, I went through my boyfriend’s phone. He'd told his brothers, mom, and mutual friends that I was at a psych ward, after I went crazy. We have been back together for four months now after that situation, so no wonder I got the vibe they hate me. Why lie about something so stupid? FML
Today, my boyfriend told me he wants to marry me and be the father of my children. Five minutes later, he told me he wants to experience death. FML
Today, my boyfriend of two years accidentally admitted to me that he settled for me because he doesn't think he can do any better. FML
Today, I admitted to my boyfriend of three years that I have been suffering from depression for a while now. He took it as a good time to dump me. FML
Today, my boyfriend of four years, who has never been anything but loving and supportive, told me after I made a joke that there has been “a change” in how he deals with people, that he has been “purging,” and that I could be next because he “has needs too.” FML
Today, I told my boyfriend I’m pregnant. He broke down crying because his mother is going to be so mad at him. He’s in his 30’s and we've lived together for over 4 years, it’s not like it was a drunken mistake, it just happened naturally. FML
Today, my boyfriend of two years told his friend that he decided a long time ago that he would never be faithful to a woman. I was sitting next to him. FML

That just means be aware. If yall lasted 3 yrs and u didnt notice anything wrong then it should be fine. And if the relationship got further to like marrige. And he told you that afterwards you would probly be mad. Better to get evwryrhing on the table now. Then later.

29 - His mom probably wasn't scared of him before he tried to kill her either. And if he would attempt to kill his own MOTHER, imagine what he would do to someone who isn't even his own blood. And to everyone saying "They've been together 3 years"...yeah he was probably with his mother for quite a long time before he tried to kill her. FHL if he really changed, but FYL OP - because there's no way to know if he has until it's too late....

OP, last thing you want to do is show him that you are afraid. That will probably set him off if so. You shouldn't hold it against him, however. Maybe his mother was very abuse and he was trying to fight back. Who knows. But if you are scared you should end it without fear. Just be careful, OP.

i think its neither FYL or YDI because you obviously didn't know early on, but at the same time it usually takes a lot of trust for someone to say stuff like that, so even though you look down on it, you should look up on it that he's very trustworthy of you, and was expecting not to be judged. I really hope he comes on this website and reads what you posted.
