Come on, dude…

Today, I was at my mom's funeral. My sisters and I were sitting in the front row. The funeral director, whom we had met with twice before, was going around greeting everyone. When she got to us, she asked where our mom was. Seriously? FML

You told him where she was right?

That was very unprofessional of her

That's actually kinda douchy that he wouldn't remember something as important as that.

she

I'm deeply sorry, both for your loss, and for the fact that you had to deal with this moose knuckle of a person. I hope the rest of the funeral went smoothly and you were still able to find some comfort in it.

I hope the funeral home gave you something off the price.

I probably would have hit her

No tip for her

At my mom's friends funeral , the preacher (I'm not really sure what us called . The person who gives the eulogy ) forgot his name .

"Well she's either in that coffin or you're gonna have to alert the authorities to a potiential zombie outbreak". All joking aside that was a really dick move on the directors part for not knowing she was directing your mothers funeral though she did seem to care enough to reconise that your mother wasn't with you.

As soon as I read Today , I was at my mom's funeral I just voted your life sucks.

maybe he was just filling his friends spot and he doesn't know what was happening but then again when you see people wearing black in a graveyard you would think its a funeral

What in the hell are you even talking about? Where does it indicate that they were at her gravesite?

I had to add to my comment, and time ran out before I could. The funeral director is also stated to be a WOMAN, so "he" is not filling in for anyone, and the FML explicitly states that they had met with her twice before, which precludes the possibility of her being a fill-in on the day of the funeral. Furthermore, even if there was a last minute swap of directors due to unforeseen circumstances, it would be the responsibility of the funeral home to make sure that all relevant details were passed along...like the fact that it was their mother's funeral.

That really sucks OP. My condolences!
