BIKES!

Today, my bike was stolen. These things happen, so I went to work. On my walk to work, a girl pulls up on my bike and says I needed to fix the brakes, someone could kill themselves. She hands the bike to me and runs off. Not even 3 minutes pass before police surrounded me and accused me of stealing my own bike. FML

Wow today is just not your day, what did the cops say?

It sounds like someone was trying to prank you, what a weird day OP!

I hope OP responds, this is like a cliff hanger right now as to what happens next! But damn that might be one evil little child.

Ooh, like The Bad Seed? The Bad Seed: The Early Years. "'Rhoda darling, tell mummy the truth... Did you steal that man's bicycle and then tell the cops that he was the one who stole it from you?' Before she moved on to outright murder, little Rhoda enjoyed causing others to get arrested for her crimes." Yeah, I can see that.

Wow where do you live? That sucks that happened but seems super safe there. I have never heard of cops surrounding a"suspect" over a stolen bike.my house was broken into all they sent was one cop who said we probably won't find your stuff. Seems like excessive use of police resources to send multiple officers out on a stolen bike

Well if you couldn't describe the thief to them, they'll accuse the first person they see with it. Just be glad they actually care

Damn, it sounds like you had one of those days that's so ****** up reality starts to become stranger than fiction. I hope your cycle of misfortune has finally ended and your luck has turned around.

Double standards much? Of course they don't suspect a girl , but every guy is immediately accused of committing a crime

Damn man, that lady thief is smooth. Did she get away in the end?

woken up on the wrong side of the bed eh

How does that work? Bikes are the only thing that you have no proof of ownership...unless you know the lock combination...that might be a good investment OP

Unless he gave his name when reporting it stolen then all he has to do is prove he reported it
