Today, I showed up to work at 6am, only to find out the schedule was changed. I wasn't actually supposed to be there until 9:15. My boss never told me this. I didn't get to go home either, he just said "Oh well. Get to work." FML

Today, my boss called on my day off and told me to come to work. She neglected to tell me that it was simply to give me my recent paycheck after it got lost, but then she said, "Since you showed up in uniform, you might as well clock in for today. The new guy no-showed again." FML

Today, I got up at 3:15 a.m. to be ready for work at 5 a.m. I get to my work station to find absolutely no work to do. After talking with my boss, I was sent home with no pay. If I'd been employed there 3 weeks longer, I would've been paid for 4 hours. FML

Today, my boss sprang a company workshop on us that I was not informed of, which kept me at work until 10 PM. He expected us all back at 8 AM the next day to continue. On a good day it takes me 3 hours to commute. I got written up for being 10 minutes late to the workshop, after getting up at 4 AM to get there. FML

Today, I was chastised by the CEO in the middle of a management meeting for showing up late to work every day, despite being in my office before 9:00am every morning. It was my 5th day on the job and no one had bothered to tell me that the office opens at 8:00am, and not 9:00am. FML

This is why I'm anti social. you people are assholes. Good luck finding a new job #5, and OP at least you got more hours in an already undercut position toward hours, do something fun with the extra cash. Or pay bills, or whatever you want, I don't tell you how to live your life :) Everyone else, just be nice to each other, it's not that hard.

The same thing pretty much happened to me this morning. I went in at 6am, like my normal start time, but my coworkers forgot to tell me we weren't meeting till 7:30am today. I was able to leave though and get breakfast. Sorry OP. But like the others have said, it's either more hours, or you get off early.
