Today, while lifeguarding, I saw someone in the wave-pool who appeared to be drowning. So, I jumped in to attempt to save him. Turns out he wasn't drowning, he only had one arm. He yelled at me. FML

hey, if he had really been drowning and you did nothing it'd be a whole lot worse.

Better that you jumped in to try to save him then that he really needed help and died!! FYL for being overly watchful, but I would be glad to have you as a lifeguard where I was at!!

it's more like... Today I was swimming and the lifeguard jumped in, creating a huge scene, because she thought I was drowning. I wasn't drowning, but I guess it looked like I was since I only have one arm. FML hahaha but honestly this is worse for the one armed guy than for you op.

You did your job. That's the good thing with it all. I'd rather get yelled at for offending someone like that instead of doing nothing and they had really been drowning. The latter, is obviously worse.
