Every moment is a good moment to get better. You can start now.
Do you mean other liquor stores have given you holiday gifts to reinforce your addiction, or do you get similar gifts from your drug dealer, your bookie and your pimp?
Sorry to state the obvious, but I suspect that unless you are a caterer, OP has an alcohol problem. I suggest AA. Don’t wait until the new year, start looking now for help.
resolutions made for "new year, new me" often fail. I agree that making one on a random day, with no real significance, is better. I have been able to lose more weight, having made my choice to get healthier on a random Tuesday than I ever did for New years. I fall off schedule a lot, but constant progress. And little steps, never make some major "6 month first try" shit. that will feel like an impossible goal at first sign of stress.
