Today, I was at hospital and the nurse asked me for an emergency contact number. I was about to say my wife, but she divorced me last month. I couldn’t think of anyone else. My parents are dead, none of my other relatives live in this country, and I have no children or friends. FML

Today, I got a new cell phone. I was unable to retrieve my old contact list from my old phone, so I sent out a mass email asking my friends to "Give me your contact info, unless you don't want me to text/call you!" No one is responding. FML

Today, I realised that if I died, no one would care. I know this because when I called my partner distressed last night, he told me he needed to sleep and hung up in less than 45 seconds, and a friend told me to call lifeline. I haven’t heard from either of them since. FML

I have trouble deciding which is more pathetic. Feeling some sort of accomplishment for being first and stating the obvious, feeling the need to point out how pathetic the first person is, feeling the need to point out how pathetic that second person is for caring so much about how pathetic the first person is, or me, for writing this comment. I'm thinking it's probably me, right?.
