Today, while driving home after the legal curfew, I narrowly avoided a police roadblock and backtracked a mile to drive home another way. I then ran out of gas a mile away from my house. FML

Just push the car home. When the officers stop you and ask what you are doing, tell them you tried to make it home before curfew but ran out of gas.

People are being really ******* stupid about the "legal curfew". What the legal curfew means, that when you first get your driver's liscens (for the first 6 months) or when you turn 18, you legally can't drive between the hours of 1am and 5am. If you are caught driving during that time you can get ticketed and sent to jail where someone has to pick you up and pay a small bail fee. At the same time your driver's liscen is revoked for a certain amount of time. So no, you deserve this tremendisly for illegally driving. You have to be under the age of 18 to have a legal curfew, and there is no reason for you to be driving home after 1am before you are 18. YDI

As a Brit; i laugh in your face because we don't have nighttime curfew here XD

They won't do anything if you say you were working and are heading home now or something like that.

America has curfew? My respect for america has now halved/been reduced by 1. And you people put up with that ???

Am I the only person that's never heard of a legal curfew?

#156 Yes there are legal curfews in America. There is even a national one but its for minors. At age 16 the curfew is midnight and at age 17 it's 1 AM. There is no curfew for 18 and up
