Today, while driving home after the legal curfew, I narrowly avoided a police roadblock and backtracked a mile to drive home another way. I then ran out of gas a mile away from my house. FML

Just push the car home. When the officers stop you and ask what you are doing, tell them you tried to make it home before curfew but ran out of gas.

omg you guys have curfews!!! how stupid is that!

In Western Australia the first six months of us being able to drive by our selves we can't drive between 12am-5am, if we do I think our license is suspended for 6 months

Better to run out of gas then instead of when going to school or work later.

Legal curfew? Wow, I'm so glad Canada doesn't have such socialist perversions.

We do have a curfew though, we just have different rules. Where I live (New Brunswick), people with a class 7 level 1 license cannot drive from midnight to 5am, unless they have an excuse (such as work). But I think once you've got class 7 level 2, the curfew is gone (not entirely sure though).

Canada does have it. If you`re a beginner driver like the OP might be you cant drive after midnight in canada

Not true. My province has no such limitations.

I bet you feel stupid now, huh?

I live in Canada and I have never even heard of such a thing. Except for house arrest. It is a stupid idea. As for running out of gas thats totally your fault. Have fun getting your car home :p

Yeah Manitoba has strange laws. I consider Manitoba a hick province. In BC for the first year you have your L you can't drive from midnight to 5 am. Once you get your N, at 17, you can drive whenever you want.

Glad you like to like to know how much gas you have like normal people.
