If you were complaining about bullshit stuff then your mom is supper funny. She was being sarcastic. Otherwise if your going through a rough time and you life really shit your mom should really be trying to help you or at least give you advise and words of encouragement

Some people are just lousy when to comes to comfort and apologies. That alone doesn't make for a bad parent. Whatever you're going through, OP, I hope your life gets better. Sometimes, we have to make our own sunshine.

Was it just random, or were you going through something or complaining? Out of the blue if I wasn't upset I would be offended by that, otherwise I would have taken it exactly how she meant it, sometimes it is nice to not hear people try fix things and just recognize the fact that things are shit sometimes and it sucks.
