Today, my girlfriend received a scam email about her great uncle dying and leaving her money. She not only believed it, but she also used my credit card details for it. FML

I know a Nigerian detective who can recover all your money. Send me your bank account number and routing number, and he will put the money right back into your account. YWIA.

Not to be mean, but make her pay for it. That was really stupid. She shouldn't have done that without your consent anyway.

Well why did you leave your credit card out for her to find?

Nothing. Nothing is wrong with your mind. It works exactly like it should.

Why the hell are people still falling for these scams? I thought it was common knowledge, or at the very least, common sense. FYL OP, explain to her (very slowly) that she should never give out credit card details unless she's on a secure site, and really, she shouldn't be using your damn credit card to do it. Also, see if you can get that scam mail sent straight to junk where she's less likely to see it, just in case.

Sadly, the people who usually fall for these scams are usually from poor/not as developed countries who speak very little English. I've seen it happen with my boyfriend, who moved to Australia from Iran. He only understood a few words in the email and didn't have a strong understanding of how the Internet works. I think it's sad.

I'd slap the mess out of her. Doesn't she have her own, or at least, her parents card for that? Better them than you. Also, what a moron. SMH

Yes. Let's solve this with domestic violence.

Notice how I didn't say "if I were you".

Your GF is a ******* idiot. Dump her, dump her now

Girlfriend? You mean you're still going out with an idiot? I hope she's your ex girlfriend by now.
