Today, my parents said that they bought me a car. I had been begging for one for a year and they always said that I would have to pay for it myself. I got really excited and went to the garage to see my new ride. It was a Hot Wheels car with a note saying, "Save your money". FML

quit expecting everything to be handed to you. A lot of people don't get cars for their 16th birthday. A lot of people don't get their first car until after college and it's a piece of shit.

It's ridiculous how mean people are.. If your mom got your hopes up and said you were getting a car, I can understand how you'd be upset. It doesn't mean you're "spoiled" because you're disappointed. The people with rude comments are just extremely jealous and it's really immature.

Get over it. That's hilarious. Actually, something similar happened to my mom. She promised her cousin a horse for her sixteenth birthday, and her cousin promised her a car when once turned sixteen. My mom got a toy car, and my cousin got a picture of a horse. They still laugh about it today.
