Today, I went to the eye doctor. For the past three days every time I wear my glasses I become nauseous, get migraines, and have that "fish-eye view" where everything is rounded. Turns out they placed my lenses on the wrong sides. FML

Today, I went to the eye doctor. He tells me that I've developed a severe allergy to contact lenses and must stop wearing them immediately. It wouldn't be so bad if I hadn't just visited him a week earlier, paid for a new prescription and ordered a year's worth of brand new lenses. FML

Today, I wore a pair of glasses with no lenses because I thought I'd look smarter. I ended up poking myself in the eye several times, leaving it swollen. So much for making me look smarter. FML

Today, I noticed that the glasses I got this week seemed off balance. A further inspection showed that one of my ears is bigger than the other. Through even further inspection, my family concluded that the entire right side of my body is higher than my left. FML

Today, I went for my first eye test ever. Turns out I have astigmatism and need glasses. This is already on top of me already having a hearing aid, having hypertension of my joints, autism, and endometriosis. FML

Today, while I was normally and gently cleaning my glasses with my shirt they snapped in half. This is the second time this has happened, with the exact same glasses. The optometrist got me another pair last time, but this time they said no because it was too suspicious. I now have to buy $150 glasses again. FML

What I don't understand is that you will have to put your glasses on before you walk out the store with them so the eye doctor can adjust the monture if needed. You're also required to read something. Unless you bought your glasses online (if that's even possible). I'm not sure what to think

Ok you guys are a bunch of noobs. Ever thought maybe OP's prescription was changed and OP thought he/she needed time to get adjusted to his/her glasses? What if they were only near vision glasses and OP didn't wear them long enough to notice? If they were "backwards", I'm sure it was either the Lab's fault, or the Optician messed up the work order. It happens.

That happened to my mother once. Well, they switched the left and right lenses, which probably isn't quite as bad. After she complained that they didn't work, I noticed the lenses were symmetrical (most aren't) and suggested we try swapping them. Sure enough...

Both are -4.00 only one is for astigmatism. Plus, usually only worn between me taking out my contacts. They placed the right in the left and so on. I guess technically that makes them upside down as well? Meh... and yes. I am a whiney bitch. ;) mad props on the eye puns. XD
