Today, I went for my first eye test ever. Turns out I have astigmatism and need glasses. This is already on top of me already having a hearing aid, having hypertension of my joints, autism, and endometriosis. FML

With all of your serious conditions, astigmatism is kind of a joke. It's anticlimactic. It'd be like saying you have cancer...and a mosquito bite.

Hypertension of your joints isn’t really a thing. Hypertension means high blood pressure, which you may have, but doesn’t have anything to do with your joints. Maybe you meant to write hypermobility of your joints and it was an autocorrect issue.

Get C9ntacts. The TORIC lens are light and being able to see is SO worth it. I have had contacts for my Astigmatisms for over 20 years and you likely will find them indispensable.

Hypertension of your joints isn’t really a thing. Hypertension means high blood pressure, which you may have, but doesn’t have anything to do with your joints. Maybe you meant to write hypermobility of your joints and it was an autocorrect issue.

Well, the mosquito bite could carry malaria or some similar disease. Then again, I doubt anyone ever died from slightly subpar eyesight....

I should have specified the species of mosquito as one not known to carry malaria, dengue, Zika, West Nile, etc. I shouldn't have underestimated the intellectual heft of the FML readers!😂😂😂

That all sucks and I understand the feeling. I’m extremely nearsighted (20/400) as well as having PCOS, a thyroid autoimmune disorder, a heart condition, a circulation disorder, and extreme anxiety. Every time I find out I have some new problem it’s exceedingly frustrating, so I can imagine this would be very upsetting for you.
