Today, I went to a dollar store with a couple friends to buy cap guns to play with. We were having a lot of fun with them, and took them onto a bus. 5 minutes later, three cops got on, handcuffed us, and sternly talked to us about the dangers of guns. We got arrested for toy guns. We are 17. FML

Everyone who thinks he deserved it because he's 17 and still playing with toy guns should realise that staying young at heart is important. I feel sorry for people unlike the OP, who never play any games.

Some places, like transportation vehicles and depots, choose to not allow guns of any type... even toy guns, since police officers mistake them for real guns. (Which apparently happened here.) Stupid, but there you go, luckily they didnt shoot to disarm/kill you.

number 131, that is complete irrelevant, and will only cause negative controversy, maybe you should learn to be humble and not run your mouth so unnecessarily.

YDI, not because you were playing with cap guns, but you were obviously flashing them around on the bus, or playing with them. Cops have to treat every gun as if it's real, it sucks but that's the way it is, you can thank all the idiots out there for that. #56, aka "photographer"... lighten up. No need to act so mature. You're 14, it's okay to have fun... and I doubt you're a photographer. Playing with your mom's P and S (point and shoot) and taking pics of your cat and making new facebook photos doesn't count. Go use a film camera for a few years and see what photography's really like.

dumbass you deserved to get arrested. and everyone slamming the officers for arresting the 3, we'll air on the safe side and arrest people who appear armed rather than running the risk that assuming their just "toy guns" and I don't know the last time you looked, but toy guns are looking more and more like real guns every day. But we'll guess if they're real or not if you think we're stupid for arresting them. It's your life....oh wait...and mine and everyone else in the vicinity. You're just as big of a dumbass as those 3 are.

YDI for being an idiot. Playing with guns in public? Really? REALLY?? and you were surprised that you got a "stern talking to" from police officers about this? I don't know if you have ever watched the news, but most people think like this "teens + guns = badnews", so the instant you flashed that in public the authorities were bound to be alerted. even if the tip is colored different, there is no way to know for sure if it's a real gun or not without getting close!!

That is absolutely NOT a YDI. Toy guns are clearly marked as toys to prevent exactly this kind of thing from happening.

**** the cops we need to reign in these power tripping bastards while its still safe to do so

XDDDD wow that sucks sorrys

If they had an orange tip at the end, then they had no right to do that. (Orange tips signify toy guns, even though it should be quite clear to begin with.) FYL.
