Today, I was riding on my bike when a guy on the street shouted, "I LOVE YOU!" at me. I recently told my boyfriend I loved him, and his response was, "I don't love you but I won't treat you any differently." Perverts on the street love me, but my boyfriend doesn't. FML

The person on the street was just a random crazy and your boyfriend doesn't have to love you. In fact, what bothers me the most is when people say "I love you" just because they're in a relationship... even if they aren't really in love. #1, her boyfriend isn't an ass for telling the truth. AND he said he won't treat her any differently. He sounds like a gem.

Today, I yelled "I LOVE YOU" to my girlfriend. A girl on her bike was riding by and rode infront of my girlfriend. She thinks i yelled it to her. I think she liked it. FML.

I wouldn't say he is a "gem", but honesty is usually always the best policy. Now I ask all of you who called him an asshole.. Do you instantly LOVE every person you date? What happens if you're dating someone, truly like them and value your relationship with said person, and they tell you they love you, but you don't feel quite that way yet? What do you say? Do you lie and say you love them? Do you say "I know" or "Thank you" -- those are pretty bad... What he said was the truth, I wouldn't continue saying it though..

Would you rather him lie to you? Just because you guys are dating doesn't mean he has to love you. Now if youve been together for like year or 2 Id understand but don't take it all personally just because he's honest

Did your boyfriend sign a contract saying that he would love you if you told him the same? If not, then stop whining. Maybe he would love you if you gave him a reason instead of being selfish.

i really don't see the problem here... i mean i would have a hard time trying to tell someone i love them when i don't really mean it... idk what love is but if i had to say what it was i would think its something like...when someone your really cared about was sick you would be there for them making soup doing what ever you can to make them smile... be there for them when they need a shoulder to lean on they can always depend on you to be that shoulder... always trying to find ways to make you laugh... try to bring you places you never been before... take that extra mile needed just to show that you care just to see that persons face light up because you did something that meant something to them... but that's just me i cant say i really loved someone because i haven't found a girl who made be feel that way...but if i did that be awesome
