Today, I was paid to be in a commercial, playing a hiker, camping and grilling by a tent with my pretend boyfriend. To make our on-camera interaction more believable, I suggested to him, "Hey, I'm gonna feed you some food, into your mouth." His answer, "Naaah, I'm good." I got rejected on a FAKE date. FML

Did you ask him? Or tell him ?

Especially with everything going on these days. The less people who have to handle it, the better.

OP didn’t say they were going to feed him with their fingers. The food most likely would have been on the end of a fork.

You’re not the fucking director. They didn’t hire you to improvise. If he accepted your change, he could end up with your dirty fingers in his mouth 30-40 times!

Yeah that's generally saved for personal romance. You can't expect some dude to be cool with that, plus if you are that socially akward the guy might have ended with a fork up his nose.

I mean credit for trying to make the ad potentially better but you should contact the director about script changes. worst case the director says no and you just stick to original script .

I wouldn't let a stranger feed me either. unless it was alreasy in script.
