Today, I was home on leave and having breakfast with my parents and my younger brothers. I guess I got too used to the rougher language around the Army barracks where I'm stationed. At the breakfast table I asked my Mom to "pass me the f***ing butter". FML

HAHAHAHA nice one. I was at my mom's and accidentally said her cat is so ******* cute.

That almost happened to me too when I was back on leave a few months ago.

How is this in any way shape or form an fml?? You aid **** in front of your family! Omg life is truly over. I am perplexed by people who think this is funny or shocking or even notable. Are you joking!? Your life is way more ****** considering that you could die in combat. Not because you said a naughty word in front of your mommy but awesome incredibly fake story ya bored 13 year old! You got something posted on a blog, life suddenly has a point.

seriously ppl post shit here cuz its funny. its just supposed to make u laugh. why do u have to bitch about them tellin them to stop complaining

How is this an FML at all? Did your mommy yell at you for saying a no-no word?

Why is it that people are unable to understand what an FML is about? It's not that he cursed in front of his family. It's that he did it in a completely inappropriate context due to no real fault of his own.

Hahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaa that's awesome.

Were your parents even upset? My parents don't give a shit about that kind of stuff, and I still live at home.

This is so NOT FML material. Oh and in response to people saying that people post stuff here just to be funny........that wasn't even funny. Hope your mother beat you with a stick when you got home YDI

It's an FML because OP said it in front of his parents and younger brothers, who could be much younger. My fiancé does this every time he comes home on leave so FYL.
