Today, I was at work refreshing the shelves when a man turned the corner and said, very surprised, "You look 12!" A few weeks back, two people did the same thing, only they said I looked 9. I'm almost 21 years old, and just very short. Starting to get just a little self conscious here. FML

You should grow a moustache.

If you're a girl, this will work even better.

Don't worry. Once you're older like in the 40s people will still think you're in the 20s/30s. Ppl pay big money to look younger

It's okay every time I buy a mature game I have to show my ID to prove I'm at least 18. But I'm 22

On the plus side, when you have your own place, if people come to your door asking if your parents are home, you can say no and slam it shut

And did you have your step for the second shelf?

He could have offered to stock the second shelf for you.

Just tell them you shrunk in the wash, you're suppose to be dry cleaned only.

Don't worry about it, been there. If you can make jokes about you're height, ( I found the above shut a lot of people up), and make it a positive thing people will soon stop bothering you about it.

I get that all the time too! It's not a very nice feeling.

I'm under 4' 11" tall and almost 27. I get this a lot too. Not a little person, just really short! I have my own step stool at work so I can reach high shelves.

I'm 4'11 and had to drag a stool around with me to reach most of the shelves. Sometimes people hid them so I'd have to ask other people to get things down for me. If I'm wearing baggy clothing I get mistaken for a young teenager, or if I have my hair up. I'm almost 21 but I still get called a kid by strangers. Although the other day a woman called me a young lady and I felt both happy and unhappy about that, not sure why.

I know how u feel I'm 22 and only 4'10 people think I'm 12 all the time.
