Today, I took my "girlfriend" to a nice restaurant to celebrate our first month anniversary, only to find out she didn't even know we're dating, but only "friends who have sex sometimes." FML

In Italian somebody says "mesiversario" (like anniversario) but is not a real word.

In a way, it's a good thing they tried to celebrate now rather than in 11 months.

This is why you always ask them if they want to be your girl/boyfriend; to make it all official and clear.

Whatever it is, it's better than just friends without sex.

I know that some things may seem obvious, but different people draw different conclusions. Whenever any sort of change in relationship is initiated, communication is key to ensure that all parties are on the exact same page, and not just assuming they are.

Maybe you had the "we're in a relationship" conversation in your head.
