Today, I took my "girlfriend" to a nice restaurant to celebrate our first month anniversary, only to find out she didn't even know we're dating, but only "friends who have sex sometimes." FML

I know that some things may seem obvious, but different people draw different conclusions. Whenever any sort of change in relationship is initiated, communication is key to ensure that all parties are on the exact same page, and not just assuming they are.
