Today, I swapped a shift so I didn't have to work on new year's eve. An hour later I realized I didn't have anyone to spend it with. I swapped it back. I'll be ringing in the new year with my boss. FML

Today, at work, I was supposed to have an easy two-hour shift, after which I was planning on attending a party that had been arranged to celebrate my graduation. Nearly six hours later, I am just getting home after being super busy and shorthanded at work for hours. I missed my own party. FML

Today, is Christmas day. Normally, I'd spend it with family. However, my boss decided everyone has to work today, despite the fact that there's enough people who want to work to run the place. Apparently it's "fairer" if we all have to do it - except him. FML

nothing wrong with spending time by yourself, there's always the internet. Or stock up on movies, there's always video games. There a line you really shouldn't cross between boss and friends, it eventually get sticky.

So why did you switch back, dumbass? You could've just spent the night relaxing, and just taking it as a day off. I think it'll be worth it if you get holiday pay, though.
