yes he was rude for not being appreciative of the food you ate. But has he ever shown interest in italian food before? If not, why would you assume he suddenly wants to eat italian food just because he's found out he's part-italian? If yes, then he should just STFU and eat what's cooked for him. I get the impression, though, that you cooked italian food simply because he found out he's part italian, which seems a weird reason to me.

it was quite nice of you to do that. but in all honesty, i don't see how him finding out he's Italian automatically means he likes Italian food XD
