Today, I spent a wonderful day with my girlfriend. I got her everything she wanted, and drained my wallet. On the walk home she noticed a license plate that had an ex-girlfriend's name on it. She saw me looking and accused me of still being in love with my ex, and stormed off. After throwing salad in my face. FML

being the OP i thought i'd elaborate- my gf is bi-polar so she can't help things like that- it was an ex that i no longer care about which is all f them and i spent the day buying her stuff because she saw little things she liked and i like buying her things and making her happy. were still dating and doing just fine i just thought this one incident was fml worthy

1 - your girlfriend is unstabble. 2 - who walks home with salad? nobody ever takes salad to go. 3 - get over your ex, it's been forever and trust me she's long over you.

Ok. After reading the post and everyone's comments...I'm finally posting a comment of my own (for the first time!). For the OP: I think there may be more to the story then you're saying here; however, 'a nice day with your girlfriend' shouldn't be defined as spending all your money. So I think YDI in the sense that you spent the day just buying your GF stuff. Granted, you might have only had 5 dollars in your wallet, in which case 'draining' it wouldn't be that big of a deal. At the same time, I think this also qualifies as an FML. Love can do crazy things to you...think of the partners that stay in abusive relationships (again, there are often other factors as well, but you get the point). I'd say you're better off now regardless. For the commentators: I will admit I'm a stickler for grammar and I believe it's hard to take someone seriously when they substitute "your" for "you're," cannot spell, and confuse their homonyms. So, grammar correction is justified as there is no reason for crappy spelling and writing.

You left out a comma before the 'and' in a compound sentence. And it's hard to take someone's comment seriously when they use ellipsis instead of a period.

Somehow my comment disappeared. Doesn't even say I was moderated. Anyway I will repeat what I said. YDI for dating a gold digging bitch. Are you seriously that stupid?

@77, holy shit! Your just as bad... no worst than snick!

dude I've been there. break up, it's not worth it.

Oops, you know what? You're absolutely right. I keep mistaking FML for a place where people actually give a shit, instead of just wanting to fling it. Seriously, that's my bad.

shes a psycho. better break up now than much later. like, glen close-michael douglas latet.

whatever was in your wallet was well worth it to find out information on this girl. run Forrest run!

Why the hell would you still want this dumb broad? Be thankful that you can use this as an excuse to say she broke up with you, which makes you look like the good guy in all case. This is a win-win, dude.
