Today, I met my cousin after two years. She got really tall and skinny, like a model. I joked saying, "You've grown and gotten slim, and I've stayed the same and have gotten fat." I expected some sort of disagreement. Instead, she looked me up and down, frowned, and gave me a long, sympathetic hug. FML

Well that's what you get for fishing for compliments. :/

Agree with #1... I hate it when girls do that, if you are fat don't expect people to be like "Nooo, you're super skinny blah blah blah"... It is just annoying...

Honestly, I hate when people do things like this. It's a really uncomfortable question (or in this case, a statement that would require some sort of feedback) for some people. I'm pretty thin, and when a fat friend asks me if she's fat, what the hell do I say? Scenario 1: "No, you're not fat at all!" "Yes, I am, you liar!" Scenario 2: "You're not FAT, but you're not SKINNY..." "You're trying to call me fat! *offended*" Scenario 3: "You ARE kind of fat." ":O You just called me fat!!!" Jesus, what do you people expect?

25: Me too(: I try to avoid the subject as much as possible. Because I honestly end up putting my foot in my mouth. Luckily the only time this subject comes up is when I'm talking to one of my really close friends that we tell the whole truth to. So if she asks if she looks, "...fat in this?" I tell her yes or no.(: OP: YDI

fishing for compliments is so juvenile.

Truth doesn't have to hurt, chubbs.
